They always said the test would come.  Well, it’s come.  After suffering their first loss of the season to Brisbane Roar last weekend the Wanderers travel across the Tasman for their second consecutive away game without two key strikers and the club’s highest goal scorer.

The Western Sydney Wanderers will make the trip across the Tasman to New Zealand this week without key strikers Shinji Ono and Youssouf Hersi.
Ono (groin) and Hersi (foot) will not travel with the team this week, both being ruled out with injuries.

After submitting to their first loss of the season last week against Brisbane Roar, the Wanderers are looking to bounce back with a win against the Phoenix at Westpac Stadium on Sunday.

The team will also be without their highest goal scorer Tomi Juric (3 goals), still out with a knee injury. It seems a tough task for the boys from the west, especially making the long flight overseas and playing in the foreign conditions.

Last time the teams met was in Round 2 when they drew 1-1 at Pirtek Stadium.
The game will be televised live on Fox Sports 1 on Sunday December 1 at 5pm.
