Is there anything worse than having a game snatched away from you on the 90th minute? Then again, how good is the feeling of your team winning right on the buzzer? Itís all part of the game. You win some and you lose some. Unfortunately the Wanderers were on the losing end on Saturday night.
Adam Taggart opened the scoring in the 26th minute, which took the Jets to the lead coming into half time. However, the Wanderers struck back with Moey finishing an amazing free kick to level the scores in the 45th minute.
How good is it to have a player like Shinji Ono in the side? Almost all of his corners end up on target! The second goal, although messy, was scored by captain Michael Beauchamp off a Shinji Ono corner, to take the Wanderers into the lead with less than 30 mins remaining.
Leading 2-1 with one minute of regular time remaining, the Wanderers seemed to have the game in the bag. However a late strike from Adam Taggart levelled up the scores at 2-2, sending both teams home with one point.
It can be a cruel game sometimes, but the boys will have to train hard this week and focus on the top of the table clash against the leaders Brisbane Roar at home on Friday night. The Roar are coming off a win against the Mariners this weekend, extending their lead on the ladder to seven points in front of the Wanderers.†
