The Western Sydney Wanderers have bounced back from their loss against Sydney FC, beating Guizhou Renhe 1-0 in their Asian Champions League game this morning.
After coach Tony Popovic made some changes to the side that played in the derby, including the exclusion of Shinji Ono and Brendon Santalab, the Wanderers set out to an early lead after eight minutes with a goal to Mark Bridges. Daniel Mullen and Antony Golec also made their debut for the Wanderers.
The win over the Chinese team has given the Wanderers their first three points of the Asian Champions League, placing them currently in second place in their group.
The Wanderers will now face Adelaide United on Saturday night in Round 23 of the Hyundai A League.
What were your thoughts on the team Popovic had starting?
