Matthew Spiranovic opened the scoring in the 56th minute, sending the Wanderers in the lead. 10 minutes later Topor-Stanley sustained an injury during a tackle on Berisha, a major blow for the Wanderers.
The trophy looked all but in he bag until Besart Berisha resurrected his team in the 86th minute, to send the game into extra time.
22 exhausted players now had to find a way to win their team the title after 90 minutes. With a few intense moments, 15 minutes of extra time passed and it looked like penalty shoot outs was going to be decided.
However, with less than 12 minutes left, Henrique found the back on the net, securing Brisbane Roar with their fourth A League title.
The Wanderers have had another incredible season. Two grand final appearances in their first two years is a great achievement.
The season is not over for the Wanderers as they now fly to Japan to continue their Asian Champions League tournament.
