Western Sydney Wanderers will have the Spanish touch in the midfield next A-League season after the club signed Barcelona youth product Andreu Guerao Mayoral.
Andreu, who spent 12 years with the Catalan giants and made his first team debut in 2004, will arrive in Sydney for pre-season training in the coming weeks.
After spells with other Spanish clubs, the 32-year-old played in the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup during a guest stint with Auckland City before heading back to Spain for two seasons with third-tier club Racing Santander.
"Andreu has spent time at clubs such as Barcelona and Malaga and were excited to add this sort of football pedigree to the playing squad," Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said.
"It is important to get players of the calibre of Andreu to add a significant backbone to our squad in the middle of the park."
